What is Brainspotting?

You can’t heal using only talk therapy, as trauma is not stored in the part of your brain that you use for cognitive processing.

Brainspotting is a revolutionary therapy that uses the natural eye gaze of the client to locate and unlock trauma from deep within the brain.

Through a guided process, we determine the location of your gaze spot (your Brainspot) which is a fixed eye position where you will feel more emotional activation in your body.

Once we locate this spot, I deeply and intentionally allow your inner guidance, your physical body and your subconscious mind to allow you to uncover, process and heal whatever trauma or blocks you are ready to meet.

This is completely client-led, and through surrendering and trusting each other fully, we are able to allow your subconscious to reveal what is holding you back, what your body is ready to shift and heal.

It’s incredible to experience this process, and the layers of healing that surface are always organically processed, in exactly the way your system is ready for, allowing you to release and receive exactly what you need.

What can it help with?

Brainspotting can help you release deep trauma, including pre-verbal, past-life, ancestral and womb trauma.

It can help shift limiting blocks and resistance, deep emotional wounds, shifting and healing wounds that cause dissociation and numbing.

Brainspotting can also help shift and heal;

  • self-doubt

  • emotional trauma

  • grief

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • addiction

  • relationship challenges

  • communication blocks

  • limiting beliefs

  • fears

  • mother/father wounds

  • ancestral trauma

  • trauma boding

  • co-dependency

This modality is also wonderful for those who dissociate and can't feel their deep emotional pain.

It can feel challenging to begin your healing journey when you can't access your emotions or have deep fear of feeling it all, but Brainspotting supports your nervous system to begin to feel safe to feel.

We work on soothing and strengthening your nervous system so that it shifts out of dorsal vagal response and into a more activated state so that you can begin to process and release your trauma.

Healing gently, deeply and powerfully, at a pace that your system can handle.

Brainspotting worked well for me. I have done it in the past with other practitioners; however, Rebecca's method was more effective as I was able to attune to my inner child at the end and the results were more profound due to her leading me to be more connected to that inner child.
